It's 101 degrees outside!!

Shall I park the car in the driveway and bake cookies on the dashboard?

Or finish the last third of chapter 29 of Wayward Son?

Hmmm.  Decisions, decisions.  If I finish that chapter, at least I won't have to go outside.  I'm thinkin'....

I know, S, I know... it's been an unforgivable three weeks, hasn't it?

I'm almost there, but only because I kinda blew off work the last couple of days because hardly anyone is in the office. There's a huge pile in the "In" basket, but wth, eh? There will *always* be stuff in the "In" basket.

Hope you'll be pleased, as there's a lot going on in the next chapter.

Had a brown-out on Wednesday when it hit 100 degrees and everyone was home for the holidays. My uninteruptible power supplies (all four of them) started shreiking bloody murder. I have all of my sensitive electronics hooked up to them, just in case.

And then yesterday our AC's condenser unit tripped the switch during another brown-out. Couldn't figure out why I was warm until I walked over to a register to feel the warm air coming out.

The storms have been building up, but they keep missing us, dagnabbit!!

Oooooh!!!! The dealership just called to say our truck will be delivered tomorrow morning!!! Oh my goodness, and we were expecting it to take another three weeks. :-D

It's cold here--don't know what that means. It's less than 79 outside, and wet... I'm chocking it up to the sea-breeze for the moment.

Eeep! 79 degrees is cold?

Of course, you're talkin' to an old lady who used to melt down at 70 degrees a couple of years ago while suffering from hot flashes. Thank goodness those are over with!

Send some of that rain this way, ok? We can't sneak up on any of it in IL.

I'm still in jeans and a sweatshirt here, and my mom's making Vietnamese Soup--yummy.

And, I would love to send some rain, if I could. I'm going up to Virginia with my Dad and dog for a bit, maybe that will coax it to track north a bit.

Weather here is mental in the summer, It was in the hundreds a few days ago with thunder storms, and now it's cool and sprinkly.

So, I would love to send it, but it would change by the time it got there. :(

Sympathies! It's 95 here. Chapter, chapter, chapter - I am so excited your are working on it - can you tell! Love Wayward Son!

Stay inside, have an icy drink and chill out. It's too hot - even for cookies :)

95 is still blazing hot, KK!! Both you and S need to stay inside and drink fruity icy drinks. :) Sounds like a pina colada day to me! I need to check to see if I have some coconut cream downstairs in the bomb shelter (aka basement). There's definitely pineapple and run around.

I think you're going to love the next chapter, KK! TenII and Hal have some surprises in store. :)

Your time would be far better served if you kept your fans happy with producing the next chapter of Wayward Son! :) I'm really looking forward to it!

So it's your turn for extremely hot weather. We had a very hot summer, which we were glad to see the back of. Down here it's now winter and we've been having cold mornings and pleasantly comfortable days (if you can get outside instead of having to work!)

I suppose our version of cold isn't anywhere near your version of cold (I live in Western Australia)! The coldest morning we had this week was 2.5C (36.5F) and the highest maximum was 22.8C (73.4F). For the record, I've never seen snow in my life!

I'd love to be able to send some of our cold up your way!

I would *love* to visit Australia some day!

We've not had a hot summer in awhile. The last couple of summers rather mild, and I believe it was only two summers ago that we didn't even make it into the 90's.

At one time I lived in Wyoming, where we had continuous snowcover from Thanksgiving until Easter. Mr. Bitey has always lived in NE Illinois, so he loves four seasons a year. Frankly, I could go for the rest of my life without seeing snow I didn't travel to see. :)

More Wayward Son should be posted by tomorrow evening, if our Teaspoon approvers stay awake long enough.
